#1 Captain C. B. Root, who was the head of the Sikeston aerial training program that rounded up some fliers and military personnel and drove to the farm field outside of Cape Girardeau, to take possession of the crashed disc and bodies. They apparently took it back to the Sikeston airport hangar for at least a few hours or a day, perhaps.

#2 Cape Girardeau Fire Chief Carl Lewis, who may well have been called to the crash site, for at least one witness said he saw firemen there, fighting a blaze around the downed craft. One fireman allegedly told his family later he was there, attending to the fire and saw the ET bodies and spacecraft.

The Roosevelts, in what I feel is the "day after" the crash, Sunday, April 13th, 1941. They arrived for late morning church services in Washington D.C.

The local Cape Girardeau newspaper reporter/photographer Garland Fronabarger, who may well have been at the crash site, taking snapshots, before the military moved in and took his notes and film.

Missouri Senator Harry Truman meets with President Franklin Roosevelt in the summer of 1944. Truman had campaigned in Cape Girardeau in 1940, in his fight for his senate seat, which FDR didn't support him in the spring primaries. Now for some strange reason, they teamed up years later and Truman of course became president in April '45. |

Reverend Turner Hamilton Holt, who was related to FDR's Secretary of State Cordell Hull, who is alleged to have shown a crashed disc (cut up into pie-shaped pieces) and dead alien bodies (in 3 glass jars) in a store room under the Capitol Building. Descriptions all matched the MO41 recoveries.

Some of the Cape Girardeau police officers who showed up at the crash site are shown in this 1938 photograph, which includes my grandfather in the back row, City Attorney Randolph P. Smith, who had become a judge in 1941 and didn't go to the farm event. |
